The Coalition connects families across Wisconsin with trusted resources that support healthy, thriving families and communities. As part of that mission, we’re highlighting a valuable statewide resource this week to help families discover services and opportunities available to them.
Caring for a child with a disability or high support needs can feel isolating or overwhelming. Navigating complex systems can feel confusing or frustrating at times. You may not always know what questions to ask, what services or resources exist, or how to get the support your family needs and deserves. Family Voices of Wisconsin, a family-run organization, is here to help families navigate health care and community support services.

Family Voices of Wisconsin helps families caring for children with disabilities or special health care needs access coordinated, family-centered health care and community supports by promoting strong family-professional partnerships in the design and delivery of services.
On their website, you will find a rich resource library that includes newsletters, fact sheets, and reports on a variety of topics ranging from Medicaid to long-term supports to family leadership and advocacy. They offer on-demand learning sessions, as well as toolkits and resources to build advocacy and leadership skills, so families can influence the systems that serve them. Family Voices of Wisconsin also hosts an annual Circle of Life Conference for families with children with disabilities and the professionals who support them.
You don’t have to navigate your parenting journey alone. Explore Family Voices of Wisconsin’s resources and events or call 608-512-0217 to learn more.
